Hundreds of students from foreign countries and even those in Nigeria are eager to know how much JAMB UTME form is for the 2019/2020 admission. The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, has revealed the price for the UTME and DE applications for 2019 exercise.
Types of Admission Form (UTME & DE)
Two types of application form are available for purchase, Direct Entry (DE) and Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Students who are preparing to study in any Tertiary Institution in Nigeria are urged to purchase the form within the stipulated given time. Candidates have about 3 months to either purchase the Direct Entry or UTME form.

Information regarding UTME registration form, DE form, templates, CBT Test, and all other educational materials related to the examination can be accessed via the official website of JAMB. in Nigeria has two websites. (http://www.jamb.gov.ng/ and http://www.jamb.org.ng). This is the official portal where you can get all the details about examinations for entry into Colleges, Polytechnics and Universities in Nigeria, both private and public Institutions.

How much is JAMB form
The fee for UTME/DE application form for 2019 is Five thousand naira (N5,000.00) only. However, students who want to get additional textbook would have to pay an extra five hundred naira (N500.00) only. For foreign students, purchasing the form will cost about $20.
Applicants who register at computer-based test (CBT) centers might be charged an extra ‘service fee’ of seven hundred naira (N700.00) only, the board requires any candidate who is charged more than 700 naira to report to them so they will be sanctioned. The JAMB form comes with CDs that contains eBrochure and JAMB eSyllabus at no additional cost.
JAMB mock examination cost
Students who registers for the JAMB UTME has the option to practice before the main examination. The JAMB Mock exam practice will take place at accredited CBT centers across the country. Such candidates who want to take the mock examination will have to churn out the sum of seven hundred naira (N700) only.
The mock registration fees can be collected only at the CBT center where the student is assigned to. (The cost of mock practice has nothing to do with JAMB form fee. it is optional, therefore we will not include it in the utme fee). Students who are interest in sitting for the mock examination are expected to indicate it during JAMB registration.
So How much is UTME/DE Form (Total cost)
- JAMB 2019/2020 registration form for local student (Nigeria): N5,000 Naira
- JAMB/DE form for foreigners: $20 or its equivalent in foreign currency.
- Registration fees at CBT centres: 700 Naira
- JAMB textbook: 500 Naira
- JAMB Mock Exam: (this is optional): 700 Naira
So, the final cost of purchasing of JAMB form for 2019 should be a total of no more than Six thousand, two hundred nair (N6,200.00) only for Nigerian students.
Different Types of payments accepted
There are 6 payment methods accepted by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB.
- Payment through the Bank (cash or debit/credit card)
- ATM transfer method (credit/debit card)
- POS (credit/debit card)
- USSD/ERCAS/NIBSS payment method (which is carried out via a mobile device)
- Online payment through JAMB official website
- Payment via mobile money operators (cash)
Finally, keep in mind that only official institutes/organization are approved to process your JAMB registration form. Those who are applying for the exercise should cross-check that the business centre that accepts/process payments is officially accredited by the JAMB Board. If you ‘mistakenly’ register and pay to centers that are not accredited by JAMB you will be ineligible to participate in the examination.
