The Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB) accepted the minimum JAMB cut off mark for tertiary institutions. To be eligible to participate in the Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to enroll in Polytechnics in Nigeria. You must have scored a minimum of 100 points and above.
However, some Polytechnics and College of Education can choose to increase their cut off marks to meet their requirements. Most polytechnics disagree with the low cut-off marks, so they deliberately increase theirs to 150 and above.
As a JAMBite, one of the major requirement to gaining admission into any Higher tertiary institution in Nigeria is scoring 200 and above in JAMB examination. However, those who scored below 150 have the option of going to a Polytechnic. Not forgetting another important requirement: Senior Secondary Certificate of Education (SSCE) i.e. WAEC, NECO, NABTEB results. You must have credit pass in 5 relevant subject before thinking of purchasing a JAMB Form.

Note: Some schools like Yaba college of Technology, cut-off mark usually tallies with that of Universities. So if you when filling in your JAMB Form and you are looking for alternatives if you scored below 150, then don’t go for YABATECH, unless you are making it your FIRST CHOICE.
